Day 58 – Getting My Oats

CARBS ARE AMAZING!!!! I’m back on the carbs and loving it!!!

Last night was my first carby meal for 8 weeks. It was fairly bland, gluten free oats with water, so I added some splenda (artificial sugar), vanilla essence and cinnamon, which made it taste nicer but it’s still no bowl of coco-pops. An hour later I was hungry again. I’m not used to this insulin induced hunger and I don’t like it. But the next morning I felt little difference and then headed into the gym.

POW!! I smashed every set! My muscles felt so much more energetic. I hadn’t realised that previously all my endurance was mental. This time my muscles felt like they actually wanted to do more work. It was great. I was easily able to go up a few weights in the chest and arms exercises.

Post workout I had my usual sugary shake, and tonight I again had a bowl of oats. This time I added two teaspoons of cocoa and one teaspoon of orange extract. Chcocolate orange oats! They tasted great, but again I was hungry afterwards. I just ignored this and contemplated the thought of a whole day tomorrow without carbs. Maybe I’ll just do a workout every day to earn them. Maybe not.
