Day 57 – Doing It Outdoors

Doing it outdoors is definitely more fun, as long as the neighbours aren’t watching.

Day: 57 of 77
Date: 7/07/2013
Workout Day: 37
Weight (lb): 159.2 (12.6 lb loss)
Body Fat %: 13.3 (3.36% loss)
Health: Fine 10/10

I love the hot weather and spent pretty much all day doing anything I could outside. Cooking, eating, sleeping, training and watching Andy Murray win Wimbledon. The morning involved another stupid leg session. 10 sets of 15 squats with 60 second rest intervals is nuts. Again the towel was my best friend, mopping up the bucket of perspiration that this session generates. Later on I did an imprompt second workout in the garden. I took some weights out and did a load of shoulder presses, lateral raises, lunges and calf raises. They all went well and felt somehow more enjoyable doing them in the open outdoors. That said, you do feel like a bit of a nob with the neighbours being able to see. But having a considerably better body than before does give you a lot more confidence to get your top off and improve the tan. As I’ve said previously, I highly recommend exercising outdoors whenever you can.

Tonight marks a pivotal moment as I consume my first carby meal for 8 weeks, a 120g bowl of gluten free oats. I wonder how I’ll react to it…
