Day 56 – Abs and Golf

With three weeks left, the concept of complete rest is off the menu.

Day: 56 of 77
Date: 6/07/2013
Workout Day: Active Rest
Weight (lb): 158.2 (13.6 lb loss)
Body Fat %: 13.0 (3.6% loss)
Health: Fine 10/10

As with most people my abs need some serious attention, so I headed into the gym and gave them a good going over. I pretty much did everything I could from every angle with the intention of anihilating them. It seemed to work, and I gave up when I reached complete failure.

The weather is really nice in the UK at the moment and so I spent the afternoon outdoors enjoying the sun. Most of that was on the golf course. I’m terrible at golf but the extra exercise (minimal) is always welcome and it helps to loosen up the muscles with my pathetic swing.

During this 11 week programme I’ve come to realise the importance of supplementary exercise, if not just for that fact that it helps to flatten the peaks and troughs of training and relaxation. Just enjoying a walk or a sport helps to make exercise at all levels feel normal and less of a burden.
