Day 49 – No Rest For The Committed

Another “rest” day ruined by exercise.

Day: 49 of 77
Date: 29/06/2013
Workout Day: Active Rest
Weight (lb): 159.8 (12.0 lb loss)
Body Fat %: 13.4 (3.2% loss)
Health: Fine 10/10

Work is pretty full on at the moment, and despite it being a Saturday I spent the day writing presentations on PowerPoint. As is the norm now, I interjected my time with multiple trips into the gym, performing a mixture of cardio and abdominal work. Most of the HIIT I’m performing is on the cross-trainer since I find it easier to do greater amounts of high intensity output than the rower. I find the rowing machine to be VERY intense, and whilst that’s a good thing, I struggle to do more than 5 or 6 minutes of all out intervals. The sets of ab workouts are just pulled from the 12 Week book, with weighted crunches, leg raises, barbell rollouts, decline planks and flat planks. I got bored watching TV in the evening, and so I also performed 150 bodyweight squats to pass the time.

I’ve now got 28 days remaining on the 12 Week Body Plan. Half of me cannot wait for the end and the prospect of eating some crap, and the other half is praying for more time to achieve the gains I’m so focused upon. Based on how I look and feel in the morning I’ll make a call on the carbs. So far I’ve been below 30g since day one and at some point I’ll need to change this up.
