Day 28 – Active Rest

Day 28 and the final rest day before the start of the fourth microcycle of Nick Mitchell style punishment.

Day: 28 of 77
Date: 8/06/2013
Workout Day: Active Rest
Weight (lb): 165.6 (6.2 lb loss)
Body Fat %: 15.1 (1.5% loss)
Health: Fine 10/10

After a very busy week I was lucky enough to have nothing scheduled today. No work, no clients, no jobs and no shopping. And with the weather being uncommonly sunny I spent the entire day outside. This involved a lot of sunbathing, a barbecue and a session of HIIT. This felt like a great balance with some very solid rest and an effective period of exercise to help with the overall progress.

I also uploaded my blogs from this week, which I had not been able to do whilst travelling. Going forward I should be able to keep this in real time once more.

As an aside I can highly recommend outdoor exercise, especially in the sun. Training is hard, and if it’s not hard then it’s not training. But you can make it pleasurable and if you can supplement it with extra fun sporting activities (or “play” as Mark Sisson calls it) then even better.
