Day 12 – Into the groove

Day 12 and everything is going surprisingly well.

Day: 12
Date: 23/05/2013
Workout Day: 11
Weight (lb): 166.6 (5.2 lb loss)
Body Fat %: 15.3 (1.3% loss)
Health: Fine

Maybe I’m tempting fate here but I feel like everything is going well, maybe too well. Today I completed another 20 minute fasted cardio session before breakfast and a chest+arms workout. The workout was physically tough at times but with it focusing on relatively small muscles and being fairly isolated it didn’t feel anything like as hard as the previous legs session. Eating was good today, hitting 4g per kg of bodyweight (which will please some readers in particular) and I felt full and satisfied all day. And to add to that, the man in the mirror is definitely changing for the better. I can see lines that were once smooth becoming more angular and hopefully the photos will start to pick this up.

So with everything going well I know that I’m now fixed into an effective path of dieting and training. But I do wonder if I could/should be doing more. Should I be feeling good and satisfied? Or should I being feeling broken, tired and desperate to finish which in some way would indicate that I’m working hard enough? What I am certain of is that this plan, as with anything, will bring periods of change and plateau, peaks and troughs, and for now I just need to have confidence that I’m complying fully and that I should enjoy feeling good, as it probably won’t last.
