Day 74 – The Void

A really strange day of doing nothing constructive.

Day: 74 of 77
Date: 24/07/2013
Workout Day: Rest
Weight (lb): 156.0 (15.8 lb loss)
Body Fat %: 12.1 (4.5% loss)
Health: Fine 10/10

With all the training sessions behind me, I’m now in countdown mode for the Sunday photo shoot. The final days are a period of rest, with carb loading and water depletion, but today was a scheduled “normal” day, and so meat and veg was on the menu again. I was treated to a stunning lunch at “Butcher” at Leadenhall Market in London. It was only a chicken salad, but it was one of the best I’ve ever had. I was very impressed. Tomorrow starts the two day period of carb loading, which sounds great but I know will actually be tough.

I feel the need to be “doing” something, whether it be eating low calorie or smashing it in the gym, but the programme specifies I pretty much do nothing today. It feels like I’m taking a step backward but the rest has given me more energy and I trust the advice I’ve received.

I wonder how I’ll feel after the programme is complete. Will I be happy to have a few weeks of just eating and training without rules or programmes? Or will I crave the rigidity of meat + veg meals and specific training routines? I’ll know in a few days….
