Day 72 – Depletion

I’m sick and tired of this now.

Day: 72 of 77
Date: 22/07/2013
Workout Day: Active rest
Weight (lb): 156.6 (15.2 lb loss)
Body Fat %: 12.3 (4.3% loss)
Health: Fine 10/10 physically

The day started well with a little bit more overnight fat loss. That was pleasing, despite another awful night’s sleep.

Again I’ve had a pretty crap day, feeling completely drained. I’m not necessarily weak, it’s just a case of building up the energy to actually do any exercise in the first place, and then maintaining it is near impossible. Today’s “rest” day involved a load of ab work and 20 minutes of HIIT. Food was the same again, under 15g carbs and under 1600 calories. I’ve upped the vegetables considerably and that’s helping with the hunger, but everything just feels difficult.

This depletion phase would ordinarily be fairly simple, but doing it ultra-low carb and low calorie is a killer. I’m thoroughly looking forward to a day where calories are back in the normal territory and I’m not working to a set challenge with a set deadline. The pressure is a massive motivator to push harder but it’s hard to know how far to actually push it without making life hell.
