Day 69 – Back To Normality

Carb test complete and I’m back eating “normally”.

My carb loading test was a success. Despite it being quite unenjoyable, having a weird low protein, low calorie, high carb day; the results were good. I’m noticeably “fuller” and had a definite pump after my gym session today. I also weighed in 3 pounds lighter than yesterday so I’m happy that I didn’t put on a load of fat. I decided that I didn’t need to try another day of carb loading and so returned to the “normal” diet of meat+veg, a place I feel much more comfortable in.

Today’s workout was preceded by 30 minutes of ab work. I’ve decided to do some ab work every day now, and I can tell I’m getting stronger in this department but I’m not seeing any difference in the mirror. I actually started the day with a HIIT session, which did go well at the time, but left me feeling drained all day. Going forward I only be doing HIIT after I’ve finished the day’s exercise to ensure I have enough energy and motivation for the “proper” training.
